There must be red warning triangles which should be two in number and bearing approval by the Internal Ministry. There should also be a set of bulbs and tools to replace them. Lack of these could result to fines. Children under the age of 12 should never travel in the front seat unless it is fitted with a child seat which is approved. They should always be in the back seat. People can use their cars in Spain for six months after which they will be forced to change their number plates as they will be considered citizens. The other alternative is to rent a car. Car rentals in Spain are given at great rates to any destination all over Spain. The rental cars are fully covered by insurance making them safe and ideal. The charges include airport fees and road fund charges which are compulsory. The vehicles which are up for hire are up-to-date and these are the freshest and latest models. People only need to make a booking and get ready to drive all around Spain.

To drive in Spain, people have to be familiar with the rules. Spanish roads have a speed limit of 120 km/h if driving on a motorway. If people are driving on an open road, the rates are between 90 and 100 km/h. the speed limit for people driving in the village are 50km/h. Drivers in Spain keep right and they should avoid obstructing by all means. They are however allowed to overtake but only on the left in some open roads and motorways. The drivers should be alert and they should have the driving regulations booklet. Most drivers on Spanish roads are courteous and people are ought to reciprocate.

When addressing policemen on Spanish roads, people should use titles like senorita or senor as a show of politeness and courtesy. You should not argue with them. Drunken driving is highly discouraged in Spain and it results in prison sentences and fines. The allowed alcohol content is 0.25 milligrams. Parking should be done on off-street designated car parks. Parking in the undesignated areas will get cars clamped and people will have to pay fines on them. Littering while driving is prohibited and the consequences are fines on the spot.
